G-Eazy – “Mad” ft. Devon Baldwin
G-Eazy sticks out for a number of reasons. First off, his superb production always features a wide array of classic soul, rock, and funk music samples from as far back as the 50′s. Second off, he’s ridiculously adored by his female listeners because of his natural swagger and his songwriting skills. “Mad” is his newest release, which we hope to hear many more of this summer. He’ll be performing on Vans Warped Tour.
As G put it, “The track is set over a 60′s ‘Doo-Wop’ melody with a ‘Trap’ infused beat. I’m always seeking to connect the culture, styles, and sounds of classic 60s pop music with today’s hip hop. I feel that music has no boundaries and connecting sounds from different decades can reflect the timeless essence of music as a whole.“
