50 Cent – 5 (Murder By Numbers) (Mixtape)
50 Cent was a king in the first half of the 2000′s with his first two studio albums, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and The Massacre. He’s slowed down since then unfortunately, especially in the past few years, but he’s back with a precursor to his upcoming album, Street King Immortal, due in November. He’s flourished as a gritty, tough rapper over the years which he brings back on a number of the tracks on this tape but not all of them. It’s a solid mix of hard hitting beats and dirty street raps from Fifty. My favorite track on the 10 song record is the collaboration with the rising artist, Schoolboy Q titled “Can I Speak To You.”
