Hahahah sorry everyone. I wrote this and posted it for Thursday but didn’t realize it hadn’t worked. So “Heeeeeeere we go”:
When you look up the Golden Age of hip-hop, Slick Rick definitely appears. He was one of the original storytellers…one of the greatest storytellers anyone’s ever heard. He appeared in the 80s, and his early single “Children’s Story” is as much of a gem as some classics by Biggie or by Pac. The song utilizes Bob James’s well-sampled song “Nautilus.” Get educated and listen to one of the originators of the game!
