The O’My’s, a funk/jazz/R&B influenced group of talented musicians, may have just put together one of my favorite records of the entire summer. The Chicago natives brought in a number of the Midwest’s brightest hip hop artists as well as Blended Babies for the smooth production. After working with Windy City representative Chance The Rapper on “Wonder Years” they team up with Chicago veteran, Twista, Detroit’s Chuck English and Cleveland’s Chip Tha Ripper. “Bout A Dolla” features a soothing set of strings and drums as well as a terrific hook. Chuck, Chip, Chance and Twista all perform their very best to round out an astounding new single.
