Throwback Thursday: Freddie Gibbs – “Another Day (In My Hood)”

Freddie Gibbs certainly got swag. Although this song comes from a mixtape, The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs, it captures Gibbs’ fly style and ability to always deliver quality verses. Gibbs, a Gary, Indiana native, had been signed to Interscope Records in 2006 but after the company changed direction, his contract was dropped. The mixtape was actually released in ’09 (so it’s not that much a “Throwback”) but it compiles Freddie’s music from the past, some unreleased material of his, and some new stuff from midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik.
