Throwback Thursday: Big Pun feat. Donell Jones- “It’s So Hard”

A pupil of Fat Joe’s, Big Punisher (or perhaps better known as Big Pun) came from the Bronx as a Puerto Rican rapper with some good rhymes. Off his second album Yeeeah Baby (2000), “It’s So Hard” is a track with plenty to like. In it, Big Pun’s delivery is very technically sound and crisp, creating a sweet flow over a more R&B flavored beat. The hook is dope too; props to Donell. This track is a gem, so check it out.
Though he died from heart attack at age 28, we’ll always remember Big Pun for what he did for hip hop.
