Throwback Thursday: Talib Kweli – “Back Up Offa Me”

Talib Kweli hails from Brooklyn. I wonder if he is a fan of the Nets’ new court (Have you seen it?). In his second solo studio album The Beautiful Struggle (2004), Talib includes many tracks that have speaking portions on them. I’m personally not a huge fan of a lot of talking on tracks. Still, there are some gems on the CD and one of them is “Back Up Offa Me.” Now, Talib’s just flowing on this track and the hook is so smooth. Listen and give it up for half of Black Star.
